Our Land Use, Zoning and Urban Planning Group focuses on the legal aspect of the interdisciplinary field of urban planning and development regularly counseling and advising clients on the permitted uses in each zoning classification and the permitting process under Puerto Rico’s zoning laws and regulations and special development districts or Autonomous Municipalities as applicable. We have represented clients in such permitting process before the Puerto Rico Planning Board, the Office of Management of Permits, Land Use and Permit Offices of Autonomous Municipalities, the Puerto Rico Department of Transportation and Public Works, the Puerto Rico Highway and Transportation Authority and other public utilities in connection with all permits and authorizations required for the development of  all types of projects and properties, including, residential projects, commercial and office buildings, retail and commercial buildings and shopping centers, mixed use projects, industrial facilities, medical and health facilities and campuses and hospitality and entertainment projects and facilities.
